Privacy policy

What this site collects, what it is used for, who else sees it and how to ask me to delete it. In plain English, no small print.

Who handles your data

Danilo Cabezas Gualotuña, an independent studio based in Quito, Ecuador. You can write to me at [email protected]. Nobody else has access to this data.

What I collect and why

The contact form. It collects your name, your email, the type of case you pick and the message you write. I use them to reply and, if your case fits, to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is your consent when you send it, and the pre-contract steps you are asking for yourself. It is voluntary: without that data I cannot answer you.

Usage measurement. It collects no personal data. It records the date in UTC, what happened (a visit, a click), the path visited, which site you came from, and whether the device is mobile or desktop. It uses no cookies, does not store your IP address, does not store your browser identifier, and cannot be used to work out who you are. That is why this site shows you no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

The chat assistant. It runs entirely inside your browser. What you type there never reaches a server and is never stored.

Who else sees it

Resend, the service that delivers the form's email to my inbox.
Hostinger, which hosts the site.

Nobody else. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, and no social buttons tracking you.

If you click "Let's talk for 30 minutes" you leave this site for Calendly, which handles your data under its own policy. The same applies if you write on WhatsApp.

Transfers outside Ecuador

Both the email delivery and the hosting may process your data on servers outside the country. I work with providers that offer contractual safeguards equivalent to those Ecuadorian law requires.

How long I keep it

Messages from the form, for up to 24 months from our last contact. After that they are deleted. The measurement records contain no personal data, so there is nothing in them to expire.

Your rights

Over your personal data you can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and restriction of processing, and the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. You can also withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To exercise them, write to me at [email protected] saying what you need. I reply within 15 business days at most. There is no charge.

If you are not satisfied

You can file a complaint with Ecuador's Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales, at spdp.gob.ec. You do not have to contact me first, though it is usually faster.

Changes

If anything above changes, the date below changes too. There are no hidden versions.
